FIND YOUR COMFORT ZONE……THEN LEAVE IT.
Tomorrow I’ll definitely be leaving my comfort zone and walking the Portuguese Camino from Lisbon in Portugal to Santiago in Spain, then on to the ‘end of the world’ Finisterre, roughly 800 ks, alone.
They say you walk the camino again because you did it the first time and this is very true, this isn’t my first camino…..hence why it’s my beautiful obsession. The camino keeps working its magic long after the walking stops.
This year it will be all the more special for me, as I’m walking to help find a cure for Motor Neurone Disease (MND also known as ALS).
Please keep me company on this walk and also take some time to read about MND in the above links. Please also consider donating to a great cause and help Fight the Beast that is MND. Any donation large or small is greatly appreciated and all funds go to help find a cure.
Thank you very much.
Ok so I’ve got my Portuguese pilgrim passport, and my first stamp from Cathedral Se in Lisbon. This passport is stamped at the end of every walking day and used at the end in Santiago as proof of your walk, to receive your Compostella.
Dressed and ready to go…..who knew Prada made crystal hiking boots…..see you tomorrow.
